About the Cell

The Red Ribbon Club (RRC) is a voluntary on-campus awareness and intervention program for students in educational institutions, initiated and supported by the Tamil Nadu State AIDS Control Society (TNSACS). Since 2021, the Red Ribbon Club (RRC) at Kaamadhenu Arts and Science College has organized a wide range of activities and training programs, including blood donation camps and awareness programs on environment preservation, HIV/AIDS, and drug abuse. RRC aims to empower the youth with accurate information on HIV/AIDS prevention, care, support, and treatment, building their capacities as peer educators in disseminating messages on positive health behavior. RRC is envisioned to instill in all students the values of service, promote healthy lifestyles, and increase access to safe blood through regular voluntary blood donation.
